How to Modify Text Alert Messages for Shipments

Each time a shipping label is purchased your customer may receive a series of text messages – tracking number, in-transit, out for delivery, and delivered. To customize those messages:

  • Click the black arrow at the top right of the screen to show a drop down menu
  • Click Settings
  • Under Shipping, select Settings
  • Modify any messages as needed

  • Click Save Changes

  • To add the tracking link to a message, insert {{ shipping_label.tracking_link }} into your message. When it sends, Shout will replace the text with the correct tracking link.

  • Shout’s default settings automatically send tracking number, in-transit, out for delivery, and delivered messages to your customer. To learn how to change those settings, go here.
